Our Founder
Kakumba Kato is a lifelong entrepreneur with roots in Kampala, Uganda. He built a thriving tire business through customer loyalty and word-of-mouth, but his ambitions reached beyond borders. When he moved to the United States, he brought with him bold determination to create a family business that would leave a legacy.
Like many immigrants, the path wasn’t easy. The American dream demanded long hours, scarce resources, and resilience in the face of setbacks. Many small businesses fade within the first few years, but Kakumba’s drive, persistence, and family support kept the vision alive.
Today, Katos Goods is more than a store — it’s a testament to perseverance, faith, and the belief that with hard work and unity, possibility is endless.
